Since dropping out of high school his sophomore year, the Indian-American rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter KOAD has been building worlds and creating bombastic, genre-defying music out of his parents’ garage. The 19-year old's first two singles ‘pots n pans’ and ‘jaunty’ garnered early co-signs from 88rising, Raveena, & Curtis Waters, alongside 1Million views on YouTube and coverage from tastemakers including COLORS, AltPress, & Early Rising. Alongside his own artist community (KOGO), KOAD is leading a creative renaissance for a new generation of South Asian artists unafraid to tackle issues of mental health, gender & identity. Raised on Bollywood soundtracks & Lil Wayne mixtapes, the multihyphenate pulls inspiration from a colorful palette of worlds to influence his sonic identity -- referencing artists as diverse in style as James Brown, Tyler the Creator, and Kid Cudi. He’s preparing for the release of a debut full-length project titled Treehouse, with features & production from Black Noi$e, Merlyn Wood of BROCKHAMPTON & Oak Felder, mixed by Alex Tumay.
